LUMI began in a small Copenhagen workshop in 2016 with one stacking tower and a simple idea: fewer, better toys.
From one tower to a whole playroom
Our founder Freja carved the first stacking tower for her daughter, out of offcuts from a furniture workshop.
Today we work with three family-run workshops in Denmark, Poland and Lithuania. Every design is tested by real children in our studio playroom before it goes into production — if it isn’t played with for weeks, it doesn’t make the cut.
